***This post is based on Christian doctrines***
Perhaps this is a good time to share with you why I decided to look for a change in my professional career.
In the days to come my family and I will start a new chapter in our life.
It is not my intent to suggest that the proximity with God (Jesus ) depends on the type of job that you do. I admire and respect the lawyers, doctors, housewives, etc.. My intent is simply to document what is going on in our life and at the same time I would like to invite you to reflect deeper about what it means to believe and follow Jesus in the context of your own life.
The biblical principles are universal ( remember I am a Christian) but the application and the outcome may look different depending the context and the circumstances of your own life
I will be working for a humanitarian company dedicated to support kids who are in need around the world and to fight the causes of poverty. The name of the company is World Vision.
Some people may wonder why I would want to move from my confort zone into something very different and perhaps with a higher level of risk. The challenge is not to explain why, but to summarize it in a way that I don’t bore you with a long story.
I apologize in advance to some of my bible scholar friends of the things that I am about to write; perhaps you will find a lot of mistakes in the way I say things, I also apologize to my atheist friends who think that I am totally out of my mind with the things that I am about to write.
To understand the origin of this decision we will need to go back 4 years ago when my family and I were sitting in our car praying and committing our life to follow Christ. The decision we made was to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior. We did that but I guess we forgot to read the footprints:
Luke 9 : 23-24
23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
… notice that everybody is included and invited to become a disciple of Christ. Christ made an open invitation. This verse is a direct invitation from our Lord Jesus Christ to participate and be part of God’s story. Now, what is the meaning of the cross that He refers to in the verse?,
That is a though question, but I have no doubt that if somebody understood the meaning of a cross was Him. Think about what did the Cross represent to Him.
I want to make sure that whatever I do with my life at this point is a faithful manifestation of the reflected love that God has poured on me. I want to make sure that I honor what Christ is calling me to do. Without Faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)
Do I feel prepared for my next challenge? No,
Do I know what it is coming? No,
So what do I know?
This is what I know…
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I know that I am saved through faith but I also know that the holy spirit has pressed my spirit to dig deeper into a desire to fulfill the abundant life that God promised me through His word
John 10:10
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
I like to mention that “abundant” DOES NOT MEAN more money a bigger house, etc. not even to think that my life will be free of trouble. What it means to me is an abundant life in love for Jesus, my family and whoever I will have the privilege to know, that includes friends and enemies.
Throughout the hiring process for this position, Jesus hand and presence has always been there. He kept opening the doors until finally the offer was made. I give all the glory to God. There were times were seriously things looked imposible but with God, all things are possible. (Matt 19:26)
My prayer from the moment I became a Christian has been this:
God, I made the commitment to follow you, please use me as a tool for whatever purpose you have for me in this world.
There is a story that I relate deeply.
Matthew 14:22-32
Jesus Walks on the Water
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.“You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down
Pedro was afraid because he wasn’t sure who was the person calling him. Just like Pedro, I see myself sometimes in the middle of a storm, affraid of whatever happens in my life, then I remember that the person on the other side who is calling me is my Lord Jesus Christ and that is the exact moment when just like Pedro I feel like I could overcome any obstacle for His Glory, as long as I keep my focus and my eyes on Jesus everything will be fine according to His purpose and plan.
I will testify later, on some of the adventures, challenges and struggles that He has prepared for us.
I am not sure where you are in your walk with God but if you feel a need to walk closer to Him, please don’t hesitate to contact me. We can walk and learn together.

Col 3:17
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
